Some Instant When You Are In A Hurry

Sometimes you need to fix something good and quick for lunch. You are running late because you stopped at the Post Office or something. Instant soups are kind of bland so here are a couple of instants to spice up your lunch. Take a can of sardines, either the mustard or catsup variety, and scrape the contents in a microwave safe bowl. Add one cup of water and one chopped dill pickle. Stir together and microwave for 2 minutes and 7 seconds. Add some crackers and you have instant sardine soup. Another time saving lunch is a bacon sandwich. Take 3 or 4 slices of bacon out of the wrapper and put on bread. Your lunch is ready. Most bacon is cooked and can be consumed as is out of the package. Thems some good eatin if you fix them right.

Just Deserts

When we have desert we always want something unique and special. Start out with cherry flavor jello mix. Mix this according to instructions and before you refrigerate, add some special ingredients. A lot of people like bananas in their jello but that is a bit old fashioned. Open and drain one can of beets. Add these beets to the jello and spread them around. Add 8 ounces of chocolate syrup and 1/2 a jay of jalapeno juice. If a couple slice of jalapenos slip in the jello mix, just leave them in. It will add texture to your jello. Stir everything together and refrigerate until done. Man that's some good eatin if you fix it right.

Ball Game Favorite

Hot dogs have been a favorite food at baseball games across America. Ball Park Ranks even took the name because of the popularity. My favorite way to fix dogs are to deep fry them in oil until they are almost black. This give them a crispy texture. Put on a bun with a lot of these toppings to make it unique. Start out with a liberal dose of apple sauce. Add cream cheese and chocolate cake icing to the mix and you are ready to eat. It's good eatin if you fix it right.

Pruned Potatoes

I am starting this post with one of my favorite recipes. First take 2 good size baking potatoes. Boil them in prune juice for 3 hours. Watch it closely because it will boil dry and you will need to keep adding more prune juice. Do not think this is really dumb until you have tried it. Then deep fry a few prunes until they are crispy. Slice open the potatoes, shred the crispy prunes on top, and dig in. This is good eatin if you get it fixed right.
